The Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm project team hosted open houses in Monastery (June 24, 2024) and Mulgrave (June 25, 2024), along with members of the project’s Community Liaison Committee.

The Minister of Environment and Climate Change has granted approval of the Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm

Projects like this are better when there is community involvement and engagement.  

Public open houses were held in Lincolnville, Guysborough, and Auld's Cove August, 2022. As the project progresses, the Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm team will hold additional Open Houses.

In late June 2022, public open houses were held in Guysborough County, to introduce the project to community members.

Port Hawkesbury Paper has taken another step in the development process for the 112- megawatt wind farm first announced in December 2019 by directly funding the installation of two meteorological towers on the proposed project site in Guysborough County.
