Public open houses were held in Lincolnville, Guysborough, and Auld's Cove August, 2022. As the project progresses, the Goose Harbour Lake Wind Farm team will hold additional Open Houses.

In late June 2022, public open houses were held in Guysborough County, to introduce the project to community members.

Port Hawkesbury Paper has taken another step in the development process for the 112- megawatt wind farm first announced in December 2019 by directly funding the installation of two meteorological towers on the proposed project site in Guysborough County.
